Course annotation: The history of the state and law of Ukraine provides an opportunity to better understand the modern processes of state and legal construction, to understand the general patterns, main directions and prospects for the development of state and legal institutions in the future. This discipline aims to acquaint students with the state and legal development of the Ukrainian people from ancient times to the present, in particular with the historical types and forms of state and law, political institutions and legal institutions in their historical development, also considers the role of state and law in society.
