Topic: Calculation a steel shaft on strength and stiffness
Objective: to acquire skills of theoretical calculation of shaft on torsion
Task: For the given composed cross-section it is necessary:
1. Determine the moment M0, using the condition of equilibrium;
2. Build the diagram of twisting moment;
3. Determine the diameter of shaft;
4. Build the diagram of angel of twisting for given shaft.
Methodic guidelines:
Let see lecture 8 - 10. In running this work, the student should use the sample contained in the file MOD_4_pdf
The scheme of the task is given by the teacher at the lesson in the classroom, or it can be obtained from the file PR_8.pdf.
The student must take the task scheme according to its number in the list of the group journal.
Please, send a file named MOD_4. doc. (or in the form of a photo of the work),
in MS Word format, for cheking by the Elearn system.
Assessment criteria:
1 point and 3 point of task- 5 points;
2 point and 4 point of task- 10 points.
In total - 30 points.
