Aim: Students work on the formation and use of the passive forms with gerund and infinitive, modal passive.
Procedure:
Task A. Read the sentences and notice the passive verbs in bold then answer the questions below.
a) I imagine being watched by cameras is not pleasant.
b) The scienticts decided to be involved in the project.
c) The public should be told about the dangers of mobile phones.

Complete the rules.

Task C. Choose the correct answers.
Robots
The word "robot" was introduced for the first time in 1921 by the Czech writer Karel Capek in his play Rossum's Universal Robots. These robots were like humans because they could think for themselves. When we hear the word "robot" nowadays, we think of a machine that must (1) _______ what to do and that cannot think for itself.
But can a robot that shows emotions (2) _______? Actually, yes, and it's already been done! Assessment criteria: 5 points
5 points – all written tasks are performed correctly, minor spelling mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class.
4 points – 80 – 90 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 20 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class.
3 points – 50 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 30 – 40 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class.
2 points – 30 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 50 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class.
1 point – 10 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 60 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class.
