Topic: Revise and check Units 1-2
Aim: to revise and consolidate students’ knowledge of word order in questions, Present Simple and Present Continuous, Past Simple and Past Continuous, time sequencers and connectors, common verb phrases, prepositions of place, and vocabulary related to describing people, clothes and holidays; to develop students’ reading, grammatical accuracy and communicative skills in integrated tasks.
Methods:
- communicative approach;
- integrated grammar–vocabulary practice;
- guided and controlled practice (gap-filling, multiple choice, sentence transformation, error correction);
- reading comprehension with follow-up tasks;
- pair and individual work;
- formative assessment through task-based activities.

Task 4. There are 8 mistakes in the text. Find and correct them.
Last winter we was going to the mountains. First we were arriving at the hotel and leave our bags in the room. The hotel was in the city centre, next the main square. While my parents relaxed in the café, I am walking around and was taking photos. There was a beautiful church on the hill and a small market in front the hotel. It was one of the best holidays what I ever had.
Task 5. Reading + Grammar transformation.
During our last holiday, my friend Mark and I visited a small coastal town. Mark is medium height with short dark hair and a friendly smile. He is quite sociable and talkative, but sometimes he can be impatient.
On the first day, we explored the town centre and tried local food. While we were sitting in a small café, it suddenly started to rain. Then we ran back to our hotel, which was located near the beach. The next morning, Mark was taking photos while I was swimming in the sea.

Form of presenting results on performed activities: written tasks are delivered by electronic files for further assessment.
Assessment criteria: 10 points
10 points – all written tasks are performed correctly, minor spelling mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class, the results of the completed tasks are submitted on time.
9 points – 80 – 90 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 20 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class, the results of the completed tasks are submitted on time.
8 points – 70 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 30 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class, the results of the completed tasks are submitted on time.
7 points – 60 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 40 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, a student actively fulfills tasks in the class, the results of the completed tasks are submitted on time.
6 points – 50 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 50 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, the results of the completed tasks are submitted on time.
5 points – 60 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 40 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, the results of the completed tasks are submitted with delay.
4 points – 50 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 50 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, the results of the completed tasks are submitted with delay.
3 points – 40 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 60 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, the results of the completed tasks are submitted with delay.
2 points – 30 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 70 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, the results of the completed tasks are submitted with delay.
1 point – 20 percent of written tasks are performed correctly, 80 percent of spelling and grammar mistakes are allowed, the results of the completed tasks are submitted with delay.
