The purpose - to study stock indexes in the stock exchanges.

Tasks:

Task 1). Consider the historical conditions of the stock indices.

Task 2). Prepare reports or presentations (5-6 slides on the topics for your choose):

Topics of reports:

•1. History of stock indices.

•2. The concept, characteristics and types of stock indices

•3. The Dow Jones.

•4. The main stock index of Ukraine.

•5. The main functions of stock indices.

•6. Major EU stock indices.

Methodological reccomendation:

Task 1). To carry out task number 1, informational resources are used.

Subsequently, each group prepares reports.

Task 2). For the purpose of the task # 2 information resources are used.

Form of presentation:

Task 1). esse.

Evaluation criteria:

5 points - for a timely submitted and fully completed task with general conclusions and work design

4 points - for a timely submitted and fully completed task without design and conclusions or for an untimely submitted task that fully meets the requirements

1-3 points - for partial completion of the task (1.5 points for each fully completed task).

Deadline:

practical classes 8 must be completed and submitted during the 8th week of training.
