Abstract: Statistics as social science studies the quantitative aspect of mass public phenomenon’s in close connection with their qualitative side, investigates the quantitative expression patterns of social development in specific circumstances of time and place. Studying the course “Statistics” will allow students of economic specialties to learn the basic techniques and methods of evaluation of mass social-economical phenomena’s and processes taking place in the society and in Ukraine in particular, to explore domestic and international experience in the implementation of statistical surveys.
